Our combined March meeting of the Washington DC Apple Final Cut Pro Users Group (DCFCPUG) and the DC Digital SLR (DCDSLR) will be an exciting knowledge sharing event hosted by from one of our own local "celebrity" author and content creators: Richard Harrington, of RHED PIXEL.
NOTE THE SPECIAL EVENT LOCATION IS NOT THE USUAL FMC LOCATION IN DC NOR IS IT ON TUESDAY.
This will accommodate the crowd that will attend this event so make sure to spread the word and let's show some love to our local, well known creative talent!

DSLR Fundamentals
Join Richard Harrington, a Director and Editor as he shares practical workflows for DSLR projects. Seems a lot of attention gets spent on shooting DSLR video, but there's a lot more to a complete production. Learn essential planning techniques including planning for storage, synchronization, and gear selection. Rich will also demystify post production with a particular emphasis on native editing. Learn how to transcode less and edit faster (no matter which NLE you choose).
About Richard:
A certified instructor for Adobe, Apple, and Avid, Rich is a practiced expert in motion graphic design and digital video. Starting his career out in the world of broadcast journalism, Rich has always had great interest in visual communications. His producing skills were also recognized by AV Video Multimedia Producer Magazine who named him as one of the Top Producers of 2004.
Rich is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals Instructor Dream Team, and a popular speaker on the digital video circuit. He has been the Program Manager and Technical Chair of the National Association of Broadcasters since 2003.
Rich is an internationally published author. His book, Photoshop for Video, was the first of its kind to focus on Photoshop’s application in the world of video. He is also a contributing author for Apple’s Aperture, iLife ’08 and iWork ’08, Final Cut Pro On the Spot, After Effects On the Spot, After Effects at Work, and Producing Video Podcasts.
A Master's Degree in Project Management fills out Rich’s broad spectrum of experience. Rich enjoys traveling and digital photography, as well as teaching his kids the joys of science fiction and comic books.

UPDATE:
We have Jad Meouchy from Los Angeles in town during our event at RHED PIXEL!
He will be bringing a pair of DSLRs for the networking period before the main event and afterwards. Both a Canon 5D and t2i have been upgraded with aftermarket firmware for enhanced features.
Here is your chance to ask detailed questions and get a better understanding as to what your camera REALLY is capable of doing!
